The spaces and technical facilities are used for education, research and prototyping around impactful solutions for societal challenges. Citadel lies in the extension of the building Ravelijn at the O&O square. Ask for clear directions at the reception, because this still is a building in which you can easily get lost.

For any other questions regarding the Facility Department you can contact the secretary’s office. They will send a lecture room supervisor to you as soon as possible, to fix the problem. You can direct your request to the Service Desk of your building.
De Waaier houses the two largest lecture halls of the University of Twente. The bird-eye-views of the campus from four different perspectives give you a good impression of our campus. Langezijds
The old building with the same name is replaced by this new one. The TechMed Centre is a leading Innovation Hub impacting healthcare by excellent research, innovation and educational programmes. Spiegel is the administration centre of the University of Twente. Since 2023, Langezijds is the home of our ITC faculty.

Campus map & campus buildings
One of its residents is the IT helpdesk, the service desk for anyone who has problems with their computer. Ravelijn houses the management and governance programmes. This vegas casino is where the human resources department, the finances, the management body and marketing and communication are located. Langezijds has its entrance on the campus site of the building at our central O&O square, whereas the Gallery has entrances on both sites (campus and Hengelosestraat). The Educafé – the study area on the ground floor – is where student shops Stores (electronics) and IAPC (computers and computer parts) are based.
Here you can also find the SmartXP-lab of the Creative Technology programme. The Zilverling houses the mathematics and computer science departments. It offers a variety of performances, such as shows, concerts, and lectures. De Vrijhof is the cultural centre of the University of Twente. The two large lecture halls can be joined together to form one even larger hall, seating 800 people. Two smaller rooms are used for doctoral degree defenses and inaugural lectures.
Both Student Services and the Study Information Centre are in this building. The Drienerburght building is the home of the University College Twente (UCT). With two large sports halls, four gyms, an indoor swimming pool, a fitness studio and a large canteen, the sports centre is the largest indoor sports facility of the region.

Lecture room supervisors support the users of the lecture rooms for optimum realization of activities. Then please inform the Service Desk of the building as soon as possible. Our rooms are equipped with technical facilities to stream or record lectures. Unless stated otherwise, this is the software used in the lecture rooms. Large or small, rooms with flexible seating formats, rooms specifically intended for exams, lecture theatres and so on. The university has a wide range of classrooms and lecture rooms.
The services desks of the education buildings are available during opening hours to answer all your questions. When you arrive at the train station in the city of Enschede, take bus line 1 to get off at one of the several bus stops on campus.
The central address of the UT campus is Drienerlolaan 5, Enschede. The University of Twente campus is located in the Twente region, between the cities of Hengelo and Enschede. The platform also provides insights into potential pre-masters or additional courses you might need to pursue your dream master’s programme. The Contact Centre is centrally located on campus, at Boerderijweg 10. DesignLab is a collaborative platform open to all UT students, researchers and staff, to connect to each other and the outside world.

We welcome all comments and inquiries about the programme The Nederlandse Spoorwegen also offers this service by renting a bicycle (OV-fiets in Dutch). Take a train to one of the train stations Hengelo, Enschede or Enschede Kennispark and follow the bus instructions below. You could also take bus 1 to the university and get off at one of the stops on the campus. This station is located within walking distance of the University of Twente main entrance (about 1 km). Enter the address Drienerlolaan 5, Enschede as a destination in the navigation system to drive to the campus of the University of Twente.
Use of the lecture rooms for educational purposes is scheduled via the BOZ of the faculty. You can contact the Service Desk with all questions, remarks, defects, complaints, requests, etc. in connection with facility services. The Service Desk in your building is the first point of contact of the department of Campus & Facility Management. When there is a problem with a computer, beamer, microphone, etc. contact the Service Desk in your building directly. If you want to use a furniture arrangement that differs from the standard arrangement in a lecture room, you can contact Internal Service for assistance in realizing the desired arrangement. The software on the computers in the lecture theatres requires the licences of the University of Twente.

With over 4,500 m² of modern facilities, CUBE replaces the existing workshops in the Hangar and Westhorst, and marks a major step in the faculty’s campus transformation. We are committed to ensuring that all applications and study experiences within the GEM programme are handled fairly, transparently, and in line with the policies of the GEM consortium universities.
The addresses of specific buildings can be found on the address list. The Executive Board is located in the annex of the building, called Vleugel (building 3). Horst is the most Eastern complex of the campus buildings. This allows you to take a look at the buildings on Google Maps and see the complete floor plan and room layout. Outside office hours, staff and students can only get access to their building with a building pass.
On Tuesday 10 June, take a Lunch Walk through CUBE, the brand-new building where education and research come together to shape the engineers of tomorrow. A scanned copy may be emailed, but must be followed by a physical copy. From the city centre of Enschede and Enschede station, you can easily cycle over the F35 to the University of Twente. There is an intercity train from Schiphol that goes straight to Enschede Central Station. The two Master’s in Environmental & Energy Management en Water Technology is offered in Leeuwarden, in the province of Friesland.
